In his victory celebration speech,US president Barack Obama said that the best for the US is yet to come, however if the US foreign policy in Yemen remains un-changed, many Yemenis feel that the situation in Yemen will only get worse.

And that is mainly because of the continuous use of US deadly drone strikes which have increased in Yemen under the Obama administration.

Yemenis in Sana'a university also expressed that the Yemeni government needs to prove to the people that it can build a strong independent nation, without the help of the United States, arguing that the Yemeni people are fully capable of solving the national crises without any external assistance.

Ahmed Sultan "We have rich natural resources and people fully capable, we need to depend on ourselves, I call on the National Dialogue Committee to not depend on the US regarding the national dialogue. We need to negotiate and solve our issues on our own without the help of the US and the United Nations.

Very few Yemeni students in Sana'a's University were aware of the re-election of President Barack Obama, when asked why, many of them expressed that politics is no longer their main concern and that education is their top priority which will pave the way for a brighter future in Yemen.
