The Israeli military said in a statement on Thursday that its forces detained at least 55 people, including senior officials from various Palestinian movements.

The statement added that the Tel Aviv regime made the arrests following what it perceived as a ‘rise in violence’ in the occupied lands.

On Wednesday, at least one person was reportedly killed and 25 others injured when a bomb explosion ripped through a bus in Tel Aviv.

People in the West Bank staged a number of anti-war demonstrations to protest against the Tel Aviv regime’s recent attacks on Gaza.

On November 20, at least four Palestinians were wounded as clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinian anti-war protesters turned violent in the region.

Also on November 18, at least two people lost their lives in similar demonstrations as Israeli soldiers opened fire on protesters.

An Egypt-mediated ceasefire agreement on Wednesday ended an eight-day Israeli offensive on the besieged Gaza Strip that killed more than 160 Palestinians and injured about 1,200 others.
