The Zionist newspaper stated, “The Palestinian child had been held in one of the Egyptian prisons after he was arrested on the border, because he entered the Egyptian territories via one of the tunnels”.
Faramawi (15 years old) said that he was collecting stones with Palestinian boys near the Gaza International Airport when he heard the sound of gunfire. As a result, along with a number of his friends, he escaped to the Egyptian border and hid inside one of the small tunnels, through which he reached inside the Egyptian borders.
Faramawi, who has spent 3 days in one of the Egyptian prisons according to the said newspaper, added that once he and his friends left the tunnel, they found themselves surrounded by the Egyptian security forces that tied them up, covered their eyes, and took them to one of the prisons.
The Palestinian teenager also stated, “Members of the Egyptian security forces beat them with batons and electric wires and then forced them to sleep on the floor without blankets or pillows”.
At the end, Faramawi said, “After what happened to me in Egypt, I won’t go back there even if they offered me one million dollar”.
The Egyptian authorities have released 12 Palestinian boys and 5 Palestinian fishermen and sent them back to the Gaza Strip after they have entered its borders illegally.
