Islamic Jihad warns Israel over prisoners
On Monday, Ashraf Abu Threa died from ongoing health complications, just months after his release from Israeli jail.

At an Islamic Jhad rally for prisoners in Gaza City, Jihad leader Khalid al-Batsh warned: "Those who count on resistance movements to be too patient are mistaken."

"We will never agree to bargain over the blood of our prisoners jailed by Israel," he continued.

Al-Batsh also called on Palestinians in the West Bank to organize protest rallies to "protect the olive trees and holy places." He also called on Egypt to make efforts to secure the release of Palestinians on hunger strike in Israeli jails.

Gaza militant groups agreed a ceasefire with Israel on Nov. 21, ending an eight-day war that left 170 Palestinians and six Israelis dead.
