FBI kills man in connection with Boston Marathon bombings
NBC News reported that the suspect was initially cooperative during early morning investigations at a condominium in Orlando, Florida on Wednesday, but later became hostile toward the FBI agent who then shot and killed him.

“The agent encountered the suspect while conducting official duties. The suspect is deceased. We do not have any further details at this time,” said FBI spokesman Dave Couvertier.

The deceased man has been identified as 27-year-old Ibragim Todashev, who was being questioned in connection to the Boston Marathon attack and knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the Orlando Sentinel quoted his friend Khusn Taramiv as saying.

Taramiv said Todashev was a close friend of Tsarnaev who died in a hospital in Boston on April 19 after sustaining critical injuries in a car-chase and shootout with the police.

“Back when [Todashev] used to live in Boston, they used to hang out -- not hang out -- he knew him. They met a few times because [Todashev] was a MMA fighter and [Tsarnaev] was a boxer. They just knew each other. That’s it,” said Taramiv.

Taramiv also said FBI agents were following him and Todashev over the past few days.

The April 15 bombings near the finish line of the Boston Marathon killed three people and injured more than 260 others.

US authorities have yet to provide information on the motive behind the attacks that some say was an inside job.
