Bahrain crackdowns on women over political divergence

Islam Times - In yet another appeal to the international community, Bahrain Human Rights Society denounced the regime's violent crackdown against women, noting that Bahrain is now systematically apprehending women for expressing their political views.

According to the group there are a recorded 11 women activists in jail. All have seen their rights violated and trampled upon by the state -- freedom of expression, freedom of movement -- 
 
The rights group is concerned that the regime will subject women detainees to violent and criminal treatments such as torture, psychological abuse, refused access to medical treatment and so on...
 
The group called on the regime to respect international conventions and observe an Islamic code of conduct toward women.
