Saudi Arabia denies it extended Haj invitation to Iran President

The Saudi state news agency quoted an official foreign ministry source as saying, “rumours about the king’s invitation are false. He has never sent any formal invitation to Iran.”

He added: «Haj is one of the five pillars of Islam.”   
 
Several world media reported that the Saudi king has chosen to extend a friendly hand to Iran by inviting President Rouhani to perform Haj.
