Terrorist gang attacks Sunnis and Shias alike, says Pakistani minister

Sindh’s cabinet Information Minister, Sharjeel Inaam Memon said that a recent seizure of arms and weapons by police have led the administration to conclude that it is one terrorist gang executed attacks on both Shia and Sunni communities.

Talking to media in Karachi, the provincial minister explained police had seized weapons from terrorists, which match exactly the kind of weapons used by terrorists when attacking both Shia and Sunni personalities.

Commenting on delays in proceedings the cases, he called on the Chief Justice Sindh High Court to take action.

The provincial minister also told reporters that the Sindh government was in the process of providing bullet-proof jackets and helmets to its police.

He added the bounties for the proclaimed offenders will soon be announced through advertisements. Moreover the dangerous prisoners will be transferred to prisons in other provinces.

It is important to mention that different areas of Pakistan particularly Karachi have witnessed sectarian-based killings for many years.
