President Rouhani: Nuclear Deal Getting Closer, Differences Decreased
Speaking to reporters after his meeting with the heads of parliament and judiciary, President Rouhani said fortunately nuclear talks have reached a point where the differences have decreased. “We have narrowed the gaps,” he said, adding that although “some issues and differences remain ... The west has realized that it should recognize the rights of the Iranian people.”

“Iranian nuclear negotiators won approval and support of all high ranking officials and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in particular,” he pointed out.

Nuclear talks between Iran and six major powers are due to resume later this month in Geneva ahead of a March deadline for arriving at a basic framework agreement. A comprehensive permanent settlement would be reached by the end of June, reports say.
