The statement was made in a video posted on Twitter as part of Trump's near-daily attacks against Democrats.

Trump said (Famous for his lies!) to his supporters: "Democrats want to take your weapons, they want to take your health coverage, they want to take your votes, and they want to take your freedom," 

And he added : "We will never let that happen, because our country is at stake like never before. It is very simple, they are trying to stop me because I am fighting for you. I will never let that happen."

In his other tweets, Trump reiterated that the investigation for his impeachment was a political "witch hunt". Trump said Democratic Rep that Adam Schiff, who is the head for House of Representatives committee investigating the president's actions, had tarnished his reputation, saying that he should resign from Congress.

Democrats in Washington on Tuesday launched the first step in Trump's impeachment proceedings on suspicion that he asked his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelinsky in a telephone call last July to investigate the son of his political rival Joe Biden, a rare move that caused a stir in Washington.

Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has announced a formal investigation, saying Trump renounced the oath by seeking foreign help to undermine Biden's candidacy.

Democrats vowed on Friday to move quickly on the issue of Trump's impeachment, saying that the evidence is clear on the abuse of power and attempts to cover up irregularities.
