The Israeli Likud refuses to exclude religious parties from the government

The chief negotiator for the "Likud", Yariv Levin, stressed that before the start of the first round of consultations between the two largest powers in the Knesset since the mandate of the "blue-white" Benny Gantz to form the occupation government, that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's party represents in these negotiations the right-wing blocs in the entire Knesset, which includes 55 out of 120 seats.

For his part, "Blue-White" confirmed that after the meeting that the negotiations took place in a "positive atmosphere", but the Likud team reiterated that it represents the entire right-wing bloc and does not intend to make any concessions in this regard.

After Netanyahu's failure to form a governing coalition, Gantz has 21 days to accomplish this goal, and if he fails too, any Knesset member who can win the support of 61 of the 120 seats will be assigned to form a government.

If no lawmaker can win the support of a majority of Knesset members or form a governing coalition within 21 days, it will push the country to a third consecutive legislative election within a year.
