The Central African Republic is considering a Russian base on its territory

Touadera said the Central African Republic's Defense Ministry is continuing to work with the Russian Defense Ministry on the possibility of establishing a Russian military base on its territory, hoping that Moscow will continue to assist in the military preparation and supply of weapons to his country.

At the same time, he praised Russia's role in training the cadres of the armed forces and police, and constantly modernizing his country's army, he pointed out that Russia provided the Central African Republic with a batch of weapons in 2005, which meets all the needs of the Republic in the field of individual weapons.

The statement came as Russian President Vladimir Putin, at the Sochi summit, announced plans to gradually increase Russia's presence in Africa, revealed that many Russian companies had long been booming with partners from various sectors of the African economy and promised to encourage and support these business endeavors.
