The New York Times reveals the number of US troops remaining in Syria
According to the "New York Times", 250 of them will remain in Syria in the province of Deir ez-Zur, while the number of US military personnel guarding oil fields are about 500 and there are those who remain in the area of al-Tanf.

The total number of US military personnel remaining in Syria will be approximately 900, according to newspaper estimates.

US President Donald Trump announced on October 7 that the United States had begun withdrawing troops from northeastern Syria. 

On October 13, US Defense Secretary Mark Esper announced that the United States would withdraw about 1,000 more from Syria.
