2 People Killed and a Third Wounded In Texas University Shooting

The ABC station quoted university police as saying that all lectures that were scheduled today at the university, about 100 kilometers northeast of Dallas, were canceled.

The university confirmed via social media that two people were killed and a third injured on Monday, in a shooting incident inside an apartment building on the university campus, and the injured person's condition was not revealed.

The shooting is the latest in a wave of armed violence in the United States, inside universities and high schools in recent years.

These incidents have sparked debate over the tightening of arms restrictions in the United States, where the constitution guarantees the right to bear arms.
