And of course, after the war and after his death the media decided that was not appropriate and focused and covered the President's health very aggressively. The other case was President Eisenhower's heart attack right before he announced he was going to run for a second term.

So, speculation by the media on the President's health in the United States is always a hot topic. And that should be a very serious matter for consideration given the fact that the president not only has responsibility over the affairs of the United States but exercises a great amount of influence throughout the globe.

With regard to Donald Trump, he's a man that is [74] years old. Joe Biden, there's been a lot of speculation on his health. He’s 78. I personally think it's a sad situation that Americans have to choose between these two very, very elderly individuals with very narrow, shall I say, narrow perspectives and worldview.

But that is what's being presented to the American electorate now with regard to Trump's hand and him using one hand to support another, that's been explained away as having some sort of tendon damage from excessive golfing. That would be funny if it's true.

And then of course there were issues with regard to Joe Biden's cognitive ability with his excessive gaffes and recently some Democratic leaders said they wish he would just kind of be quiet and stay in his basement because he seems to be doing very very well when doing nothing.

So, this is the state of affairs in terms of health. You might recall during the 2016 election Hillary Clinton was dodged with a great amount of speculation on her health and yet she seemed to be alive and well and not having any major complications.

It is interesting that these individuals whether they are the president or the presidential candidates they are a very, very Uber Elite that enjoy the most supreme health care that the United States can offer, something that its citizens and people around the globe, certainly do not have access to, which I think is rather an interesting dynamic in and of itself which really isn't discussed much in public. But in the end, believe it or not, voters are less likely to vote on this issue, as they are on their personal feelings and partisan feelings and where they think the country is going.

Usually, the matter of questions of the President's health is relegated to the form of political gossip, and really has very little impact on American elections.

President Eisenhower ran for reelection within months of having a major heart attack that incapacitated him and he won a landslide election. Ronald Reagan was severely wounded in an assassination attempt and went on to win reelection in a landslide - a 49 state landslide.

That's not to say that Donald Trump enjoys the popularity of Eisenhower and Reagan. He has some severe political handicaps, namely, his, shall we say narcissistic political personality and very narrowing political base, but we will see what November brings.
