Trump has targeted Vindman, a US Army lieutenant colonel and National Security Council official, since he testified before Congress on October 29. Trump wrote on Twitter that Vindman was "never a witness of Trump's relatives."
Trump was asked if he regretted describing Vindman as "never at all close to Trump," Trump told reporters on Saturday: "Well you will see very soon what will appear, and then you can ask this question differently."
Vindman was present during the communication that took place on July 25 between Trump and Zelensky, which led to the House of Representatives on the Trump impeachment.
Vindman is the US official who told Congress he was worried that Trump's telephone call to Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky posed a threat to national security.
