ISIL poses threat to whole world: Iraq
“Da’esh terrorist group is not just a danger to Iraq but they are a danger to all the world,” the top Iraqi diplomat said, using the Arabic title of the terrorist group, media reported on Saturday.

“Iraq is being attacked by Da’esh and its supporters and hence the Iraqi security issues have priority over other matters,” he added.

He called for concerted efforts by the international community and more cooperation among the countries of the world to help defeat the Takfiri group.

The ISIL launched an offensive in Iraq in June and took control of the country’s second largest city, Mosul, before sweeping through parts of the country’s Sunni Arab heartland.

The Takfiri militants have been carrying out horrific acts of violence, including public decapitations and crucifixions, against all Syrian and Iraqi communities such as Shias, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians and Izadi Kurds.

Senior Iraqi officials have repeatedly blamed Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and some other Persian Gulf Arab states for the growing terrorism in their country.
