Anti-US drone peace march blocked in Pakistan
But the destination of peace march was South Wazirstan that these peace marchers wanted to go to see the massive collateral damages and civilian deaths caused by the frequent US assassination drone attacks.

“Enough is enough,” is what this security personal told peace marchers--- warning them that if they go ahead beyond this point, their vehicles could be blown up --one after another as the pro-Taliban militants have laid down Improvised Explosive Devices on the road along with these mountains of South Wazirstan.

Many drone victim families had already reached at the border of South Wazirstan to welcome peace marchers. However, the blockade of roads blazed their anger against the pro US ruling People Party.

Seeing obvious threats to their lives, finally compelled the large number of people including dozens of peace activists from the US and Britain to come back. But not without holding the biggest ever public protest against the US assassination drone attacks in this bordering troubled region.

The blockade of the peace march from reaching to its destination seems to have systematically served-strategic and political interests of all major players like the Taliban, the ruling People's party, Pakistani intelligence agencies and more importantly the US which does not want the world to know the massive scale of collateral damages and civilian deaths caused by its drone attacks in the tribal region.

The government effectively propagated threats of the pro-Taliban militants’ attacks through its intelligence network that kept major international TV channels away from the coverage of this unprecedented rally organized by Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf led by Imran Khan, a popular political force, emerged on rising anti-American sentiments in this part of the world.
