Israeli Forces Ramp Up Attacks on Gaza, Target 40 Sites Including Rafah
The Israeli military has disclosed its utilization of fighter jets and attack helicopters in recent operations against Palestinians, with particular focus on southern Rafah.

Aerial bombardments targeted multiple areas in Rafah identified by the Israeli military as sites from which rockets and rocket-propelled grenades were allegedly launched towards Israeli territory and the Karem Abu Salem (Kerem Shalom) border crossing with Gaza.

According to military statements on social media, airstrikes were also conducted on Gaza City's Zeitoun neighborhood, along with assaults by warplanes and helicopter gunships in central areas of the Palestinian territory.

Despite international calls for de-escalation, the Israeli military is persisting in its expansion of operations within Rafah, directing intensified strikes towards the eastern part of the city. Over the past 24 hours, heightened artillery shelling has been observed in both eastern and western regions, compelling the majority of displaced families to seek refuge in newly designated safe zones, notably Deir el-Balah, where thousands have sought shelter, erecting tents and seeking available residential units.

The influx of displaced persons into Deir el-Balah has strained resources, particularly water, while the city's sole operational hospital is operating at minimal capacity, having endured significant strain throughout the seven months of conflict.

As Israeli attacks intensify, hospitals across Rafah are being evacuated, leaving sick and wounded Palestinians without access to critical medical care.

At least 34,904 people have been killed and 78,514 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7.
