Wife of Bahraini Activist Abdul Hadi Al-Khawaja: The Government is not serious about dialogue
On the subject of dialogue called for by the Crown Prince of Bahrain, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, al-Moussawi said in a interview for the magazine Arabian Peninsula, that “the government is not serious about dialogue ", adding that “there are no introductions to the dialogue carried out by the authorities.”

The wife of activist Abdul Hadi al-Khawaja confirmed that “the Bahraini authorities suggest dialogue in every occasion they get but the reality is otherwise." She said "the arrests and the deployment of the army in the streets, the harassment and thefts of homes are prevalent and we do not feel safe in Bahrain."

She believed that if the system really wanted dialogue seriously, it would "withdraw all its troops from the villages and abolish all the checkpoints and would end the occupation of Salmaniya and release the detainees.”

And regarding her detained husband’s situation, Khadija al-Moussawi said, "Abdul Hadi called today and said that he has been harassed because of a person named Ibrahim al-Ghaith, who oversaw the arrest," asserting that “Abdul Hadi’s spiritual and psychological spirits are high."

A Bahraini court sentenced a months of imprisonment on Monday, for the eldest daughter of Abdul Hadi al-Khawaja for her participation in February’s unauthorized demonstration, as defense lawyers said.

Sources added that Zainab al-Khawaja was accused of "entering a restricted area" Pearl Roundabout, during the demonstration of February 12th in Manama. She has also been sentenced to pay a fine of 100 dinars (258 dollars).
