Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran: Zionist and America stand behind anti-Islam movie

The movie called “Innocence of the Muslims” abjectly insulted Prophet Mohammed and Islam.

Although Ayatollah Khomeini admitted that in truth American politicians were not per se to blame for the movie, they should now concentrate in apprehending the criminals who engineered such an attack on Islam and punish them accordingly.

Following is the transcript of Ayatollah Khomeini’ statement:
In the name of God the Almighty and Merciful
Allah, the Mighty, the Wise said: “they want to extinguish Allah’s light by their mouths, but Allah will have his light, even if non-believers hate it.”

Dear Iranian and Islamic nation,
The unjust hands of the enemies of Islam once again attempted to denigrate our just faith and belief by insulting and sullying our beloved Prophet. The attack by the Zionist movement comes from a deep-seated resentment against Islam and the Holy Quran.

America and Israel arrogantly believe that they can undermine Islam and dirty its image through such vicious propaganda.

They believe they can brainwash our Youth and make it so that its belief and faith in Islam will diminish in strength. But they do not understand the nature of Islam and the light it carries for God is with us. Our faith will not be put out; our beliefs will not be trampled upon.

Time and time again they attacked Islam – Salman Rushdie despicable book, the Danish insulting caricatures of our Prophet, the burning of the Quran, and now this movie – The Zionists are orchestrating it all and such crimes are unforgivable.

If America is indeed sincere in its claims that it had nothing to do with such a movie then its leaders should now hunt down and arrest the criminals and punish according to the severity of their crimes.

Dear brothers and sisters of Islam, you must realize that such a petty attempt to discredit our faith and religion is only proof that our Islamic awakening is terrifying the infidels. We need as the nation of Islam to stand fast and true to our beliefs.
