No Foreign Dictates on Palestinians

In a meeting on Tuesday, they exchanged views over a wide range of topics including the latest situation of the Gaza war in the political and operational fields, the need to stop the Zionist regime’s aggression and crimes against the people of Gaza and the West Bank, and the immediate sending of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.

On the third leg of a regional tour that is centered on ways to settle the crises and issues in Gaza, Amir Abdollahian arrived on Monday in the Qatari capital, Doha. 

Like the talks in Beirut and Damascus, the main topics of the Iranian foreign minister’s meetings with Qatari authorities focused on the developments in Palestine and ways to end the brutal Israeli onslaught against Gaza.

Iran’s top diplomat held talks with senior Qatari officials about a range of issues, including cooperation between Tehran and Doha.

During his sojourn to Lebanon, he held talks with certain resistance leaders, calling for the end to the onslaught on the Gaza Strip.  

During a meeting with about 15 officials from different Palestinian groups in the Syrian capital Damascus on Sunday, Iran’s foreign minister noted that the Tel Aviv regime would fall if the U.S. officials put a moratorium on all kinds of support.   

“The Israeli regime totally collapsed after Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, and if it were not for the U.S.’s all-out meddling in the field in support of the Zionist regime and its efforts to resurrect and save it, this collapse would have been completely visible,” Amir Abdollahian pointed out. 

He went on to add that “the Israeli regime and the U.S. government achieved none of their declared goals since the beginning of the war on Gaza and that they are now forced to hold political talks with Hamas, whom Tel Aviv and Washington called for its demise.”

Amir Abdollahian also said that the struggle and resilience of the resistance groups, as well as the sacrifices of people in Gaza and the West Bank, and the practical unity of the Axis of Resistance in solidarity with Palestine helped the nation defeat the occupying regime.

In addition, he hailed the support provided for the Palestinians by the resistance factions in Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq and Syria, along with independent and brave governments and nations.

Bilateral, regional talks with Qatari Emir 

In a meeting with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Tuesday, Amir Abdollahian described the relations and cooperation between the two countries in various fields as very good.  

He also stated that the full implementation of the agreements made in the meeting between the two presidents will provide a basis for strengthening the increasingly friendly and fraternal relations between Iran and Qatar.

Iran’s top diplomat considered cooperation between the two countries on regional and international issues as constructive which is centered on enhancing peace, stability, and security in the region. 

Referring to the Palestinian issue and the tragic events in Gaza, Amir Abdollahian detailed the diplomatic efforts of Iran to spell end to the war against Gaza and the genocide of Palestinians. 

He also emphasized the importance of continuing and accelerating joint efforts between Tehran and Doha to achieve a political solution to end the Zionist genocide in Palestine, lift the siege on Gaza, send urgent humanitarian aid, prevent the displacement of Palestinians, and support a Palestinian-Palestinian solution for governing Gaza and the West Bank post-war reconstruction.

Iran’s foreign minister gauged the U.S. approach to the Gaza crisis as contradictory and dual, stating that military attacks on Yemen and military operations in Iraq and Syria, alongside full support for Israel’s aggressive actions, contradict America’s claims.

The Emir of Qatar, for his part, expressed satisfaction with the current meeting and conveyed his warm greetings to his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi.

He also expressed satisfaction with the depth of friendly and brotherly relations between Iran and Qatar while adding that the connections between the two countries have never been so close, indicating the successful advancement of friendly and constructive relations between the two countries.

The Qatari Emir hailed Iran for its continuous diplomatic efforts in supporting Palestine and pursuing a political solution to end the war against Gaza, detailing the latest results of Qatar’s diplomatic efforts to achieve a ceasefire and find a political solution to the Gaza crisis.

Both sides consulted and exchanged views on how to continue joint efforts to support the Palestinian people, end Israeli attacks on Gaza, send humanitarian aid, and find a Palestinian-Palestinian solution for governing Palestine. 

They emphasized the importance of continuing these consultations and coordination.

“U.S. not serious, sincere in resolving political solutions for Gaza War” 

In a meeting with his Qatari counterpart in Doha on Monday night, Amir Abdollahian thanked the growing trend of bilateral relations between Iran and Qatar.

He also said that the United States lacks the sincerity in contribution to the political settlement of the war against the Gaza Strip. 

Calling the cooperation and consultations between Iran and Qatar regarding the regional developments “constructive,” he continued by saying that such coordination could be at the service of the mutual interests of the two countries as well as the collective stability and security of the region.

He also slammed the Zionist regime’s threat to launch a ground attack on Rafah, saying the U.S. government announces plans on preventing the spillover of the war across the region but at the same time, it has not reduced its arms supplies to the Zionist regime, the Foreign Ministry’s website reported.

Amir Abdollahian added that striking a deal and a political solution to end the war on Gaza can come to fruition, provided that America chooses between the continuation of the war and a ceasefire in action, and not in words.

For his part, Qatar’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani described the relations between Doha and Tehran as constructive at the bilateral, regional and international levels and also in terms of helping boost peace and stability in the region.

He underscored his nation’s resolve to fortify relations with Iran and thanked Tehran for its active diplomacy in supporting Palestine and the stability and security of the region.

He further said that Qatar and Iran are on the same side to level up efforts to abruptly stop the war and plow ahead with diplomatic endeavors and plans to make such goals bear fruit.
