Zionist Regime Root Cause of Insecurity, Instability in Region: Iran Acting President

Speaking in a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on Wednesday evening, the acting president stated that late Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi believed that peace and security are achievable only through the cooperation and collaboration of all regional countries with one another and giving green light to the Zionist regime will exacerbate the insecurity in the Caucasus region.

Mokhber thanked the sympathy of the government and nation of the Republic of Azerbaijan with Iran over the martyrdom of President Raisi and his entourage in a tragic helicopter crash in the northwestern province of East Azarbaijan and said the late president would always stress that the two nations of Iran and Azerbaijan have historical friendship and neighborly relations.

He referred to the agreements reached by the two countries in a recent meeting between martyr President Raisi and his Azeri counterpart and said the agreements should be implemented as soon as possible.

The president of the Republic of Azerbaijan extended his condolences once again to the government and people of Iran over the tragic helicopter crash that killed PresidentRaisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, and several others. 

Aliyev pointed to the consultations and agreements made with the late Iranian president and said their implementation will promote the bilateral relations.

Reopening the embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Tehran was one of the agreements reached between the two sides in that meeting, he noted.
