Scores Killed or Injured in Gaza As Israeli Strikes Continue Unabated
Five Palestinians were found killed and 30 others injured in Rafah's southern district, reported Al Jazeera Arabic, citing a local medical source.

The victims were taken to Nasser Hospital, where power outages could hinder their treatment, the report said.

Israeli attacks overnight caused more casualties across Gaza, from the north to the south, according to the Wafa news agency.

In Gaza City’s Shujaya neighborhood, the bombardment of a family home killed two people and injured others, while artillery attacks hit homes in the Zeitoun and Tal al-Hawa neighborhoods.

Artillery strikes in areas north of Rafah, including Khirbet al-Adas and al-Hashaashin, resulted in an undetermined number of casualties.

Deir el-Balah city also experienced air raids.

Local sources reported that an Israeli air attack on a house near the European Hospital in al-Fukhari, south of Khan Younis, killed at least eight people.

Footage verified by Al Jazeera’s Sanad fact-checking agency showed injured infants and young children being transported to the European Hospital. The targeted house belonged to the Kwarea family, according to local sources.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) stated that ambulance crews provided first aid to 12 people injured in Israeli attacks on central Gaza’s Maghazi camp.

Children were among the victims of these attacks, which struck several residential homes, the PRCS said.

The UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) reported that more than half of Gaza's buildings have been destroyed since October 7 due to Israeli attacks.

“The destruction in Gaza is indescribable,” UNRWA stated on X, citing data from the United Nations Satellite Center (UNOSAT).

“Clearing the rubble will take years. Healing from the psychological trauma of this war will take even longer,” UNRWA added, calling for a ceasefire.

“This suffering must come to an end,” the agency emphasized.

Israeli attacks in Gaza have left 40 people dead and 218 injured in the past 24 hours, according to Gaza's Health Ministry.

Since October 7, a total of 37,124 people have been killed and 84,712 injured by Israeli airstrikes in Gaza, according to the Health Ministry.
