US doesn’t want peace in Pakistan, says Adnan Kakakhel
Mufti Syed Adnan Kakakhel, the head of the Sharia section at an Ahle Sunnat religious seminary ‘Jame Al Rashid’ Karachi talking to Islam Times said, “the US is involved in the unrest and destruction which are now plaguing Pakistan.”

Condemning the recent drone attacks in Pakistan, the scholar explained, “through its drone strikes, America not only attacked Pakistan’s independence and sovereignty but it has also damaged any the national peace process.”

Commenting on the recent killing of the Pakistani Taliban Chief, Hakeemullah Mehsood in a drone attack in North Waziristan, Adnan Kakakhel said, “the incident caused the suspension of all peace dialogue in Pakistan.”

Mufti Adnan Kakakhel was one of the representatives of the Pakistani religious scholars who appealed to the Taliban for a ceasefire.

The Mufti once again appealed to the Pakistan army and the Taliban not to allow the dialogue process to be derailed by foreign hands.

He insisted the US through its drone attacks has shown its anti-Pakistani attitude. He called on the government to block all NATO supplies instead of lodging formal protest against drone strikes. He added, “all sorts of cooperation with the US should be withdrawn and the drones violating our airspace should be shot down.”
